You can enjoy the remarkable beauty of Begnas Lake with the breathtaking views of the Annapurnas and Machhapuchhre while staying in the luxury camps with indoor shower, bathroom, comfortable beds, lovely interior décor, and balcony with the lake view.
Annapurna Royal Camp is located at a hill top in the western rim of Begnas Lake. Though it’s ideally located next to the wilderness, it’s not very far from Begnas town. There are three different ways to reach the Camp.
By Road: You have to drive for 5-6 hrs from Kathmandu via Malekhu, Mugling, Bandipur to reach Tal Chowk near Pokhara city. When you reach Tal Chowk, take a right turn towards Begnas Lake. After driving for about 7-8 minutes, you will come to Mohariya Chowk where you have to take left turn. Drive about 10-12 minutes along the road till you reach the Camp at Sal Dada on your right.
By Air: You have to take a flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara which will take about 30 minutes. After landing in Pokhara Airport, you have to drive towards Begnas Lake, which is about 11km away from Pokhara city. Once you reach Mohariya Chowk (before Begnas Lake), you have to take left turn. Drive about 10-12 minutes along the road till you reach the Camp at Sal Dada on your right.
By Boating & Hiking: Get to Tal Chowk from Kathmandu by air or drive, and take right turn and drive towards Begnas dam site (about 12-13 minutes). From the dam site, take a boat towards Sal Dada which will take about 15-20 minutes. Once you reach below Sal Dada, get off the boat and hike uphill for about 15 minutes till you reach the Camp.
