Annapurna Royal Camp, Nepal’s unique Glamping destination, welcomed its first two groups of visitors from Kipling Travel on 13th October, and immediately after few days on 20th October 2018. The first group had 4 members with 2 children aged 13 and 10; and the second group, which was also a family group, had 5 members with 3 children aged 7 (twins) and 9.
The first group was on their 3 weeks’ trip which included touring in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan; and trekking to Sikles and Ghalegaun. They spent a night at Annapurna Royal Camp while on their way to Sikles. As the Camp is set on a hilltop next to Begnas Lake, the second largest lake of Kaski district after Phewa, the group had a great opportunity to experience the beauty of wilderness and the Himalayan panorama, while staying at the luxury camps overlooking the Lake and its expansive natural surroundings.
The next group stayed for 4 nights and did three days’ of hiking in the surrounding villages and exceptional viewpoints. They stayed at the Camp as a part of their two weeks’ trip that involved trekking to Ghandruk, Dhampus and Poonhill, the popular trekking areas of Annapurna region. The group arrived at the Camp after spending about a week in the Annapurna region. During their three days’ stay at the Camp, they got ample opportunities to explore the neighboring villages and the lake’s natural surroundings including the rare species of birds and butterflies. Both groups commended the Camp as being the epitome of serenity and unspoilt beauty.
